InkTextKit is built to read ink, not collect your photos.

Images are processed on your device

Your selected image, canvas pixels and OCR output stay in your browser’s memory. The app does not transmit photos, filenames or generated text to a server for OCR in this MVP. Closing the tab releases app memory; copies you download remain on your device.

What is stored in your browser

We use localStorage under inktextkit.usage.v1 to store the local calendar date and random usage tokens for the daily free allowance. The counter is not sent to us. There are no account cookies or advertising identifiers. You can remove site data in browser settings; local storage is required for the free tool.

Ordinary website requests

Your browser downloads the website and Tesseract worker assets from the site’s hosting service. Hosting providers may receive ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, requested URLs and access times under their own policies. No photo content is included in those requests.

No analytics or payments

This MVP includes no analytics, advertising, third-party fonts or live payment processor. Optional Google sign-in loads Google Identity Services only when requested. Google receives ordinary connection information and handles authentication under its own policies; tool files are not sent to Google for sign-in. When the separate test billing service is configured, it verifies your Google credential and issues a one-hour HttpOnly, Secure session cookie. Your Google subject, one-time signup Gift and test billing records are retained in a server ledger for reconciliation. No Google credential or session is stored in sessionStorage; older local profiles are cleared. Sign-out expires the cookie. Cloud processing and public checkout remain unavailable. Paid pricing is a placeholder only.

Future cloud OCR

If a cloud OCR path is offered later, it will require explicit upload consent and an updated privacy policy before any photo leaves your device.
